Day 2 (July 3) was pretty much a bust. Laura took the boys to piano lessons and then was to meet us at a park and go to a water park in Yuba City, but Jonathan decided to throw up so all the fun stuff was off. We took it easy for the day - probably the best thing anyway. Below are James and Josh playing with their dart guns. It can be dangerous with them around.
Little Jillian is growing rapidly. She is cute and Grandma spent a LOT of time holding her and talking to her, trying to get the latest gossip about the other side of the veil from her, but without success.
James, having a little bad hair day, decided he wanted to go to Alaska with Grandpa but we convinced him to stay home with Mommy. Barbara had the big event of the day when a mud wasp stung her on the hand when we came back from a visit to Walmart.
Up at 3:30 - way too early - and a 4:15 drive to airport by Earl (bless him) and we were off on the first leg of our real trip. This is the gate at the Sacramento airport that we left from. We are now in Portland and I don't know when we will get back to a wifi spot again so I decided to post this now. We will be thinking about all of you but enjoying our trip. Till later.
