The trip beginning in Portland was a problem. Our plane to Vancouver wasn't ready when we arrived and they said it needed cleaning, then maintenance and then a new plane. An hour and 15 minutes late it finally got going. We had expedited customs clearance at Vancouver but, alas, they had my birthday wrong and that kicked up into regular customs and another line. We cleared that in 15 or 20 minutes and then had to find a bus to the ship. Well it was 30 minutes until the next bus for us and when it came we all got on and the driver tried to start it up and the engine wouldn't kick over. They had to order another bus - we should have been to the ship by 1:30 or so and we finally got on board by 4:00 - at least at that late hour there were no lines. By the way, there were 2,350 guests on the ship for this cruise.
Here is our cabin - the 179 sq. feet isn't much but it works fine. Every square inch is planned and though small, it is very functional. The bed was the best and made sleeping a dream. After a long day Mom couldn't wait.
The view is to kill. You can't quite touch the sea - we are on the 10th deck and about 100 feet up and right on the bow of the ship.
The bathroom is TINY but worked fine. Just try to take a shower on a rolling ocean in a 6 ft. sq. shower stall. It can be interesting. The rest of the room was fine - a love seat. Counter with a chair to do your hair, etc. and storage galore - especially for such a small place.
