Day 15 - Boston, MA

Boston, MA - This is a town we have been to and spent a few days in about 10 years ago. I guess I better digitize the pictures for that trip. Anyway we didn't want to waste much money here on expensive shore excursions so we took an expensive little bus ride around the town. We thought it was an open top bus - like in London but it wasn't so pictures were not easy to take. We drove by the Boston Gardon (Bank One Arena or whatever they call it today. The original Garden was built over the freeway (which traveled under the arena. It also had a trainstation in the basement, as it does today.
This being hocky season (and basketball is still in pre-season mode) the decorations out were for the Boston Bruins.
Except I did find this one sign that was out. Go Celtics.
The ugliest building in America? According to the guide, who must have told us 4 times, the new Boston City Hall has been voted the ugliest building in America.
The tall monument in the Kings Chapel Grave Yard is that of Ben Franklin - my favorite president. President? Well he is on the $50 bill so he must be a President - right?
Another of my heroes - Ted Williams in a statue outside of Fenway Park.
I think we actually saw more of the outside of Fenway park this day than we did the day we attended a game here. This time we weren't worried about if the rain would return or where to find the subway station so we could get back to the motel after the game. This is the famous green monster.
The Boston skyline as we sailed away for Canada and new territoru for us to see.
