Cooperstown has much more than the Baseball Hall of Fame. It has crowds, congestion, no parking, and other sites like the James Fenimore Cooper Museum on the property owned by James' father. It is a mile or so north of Cooperstown so you can actually park here. Right behind it is Lake Ostego and to the south and across the street is a beautiful golf course with rolling fairways and lush green everywhere.
Above are views of the front of the museum, the changing foliage on the grounds and from the back pavillion - the view of Lake Ostego.
